I have used Drupal CMS in order to create a website to manage DML internal routines and present it on the web. Besides, it is used to be in touch with graduate students. However, it can be used for any research related organizations. Here are its capabilities and used modules:

• User, Role, and Access permissions management (Drupal Core),
• Forum (Forum module),
• Internal research group pages (CCK & Views2 modules),
• Knowledge base: containing useful papers, source codes, web sites in each research field (Book & Biblio modules),
• Paper Review repository: A repository to manage paper reviews by each user (Biblio & Views2 modules,
• Weekly Report repository (CCK & Views 2 modules),
• Notifications: (Notification & Mime Mail modules),
• Gallery (Image module),
• Profiles (Content Profile & Views2 modules),
• Research milestone list per student (CCK & Views2 modules),
• Many reports for monitoring user activities and research trend (Views2, ViewsCharts, and Drupal Core modules)
